Queen Charlotte Islands - Canada, British Columbia
The beach widens. It's littered with tree trunks. The force of the water that threw these giants onto the beach must have been tremendous. And then - unexpectedly - a river: the Oeanda River. In the sunshine he swings into the sea. I run, tear off my shoes and stockings, cross it without hesitation, without thinking, throw off my backpack and drink.
