Phnom pehn is a wonderful city, full of life, full of wonderful people and yet so full of sadness. The Kymer rouge and the legacy they left behind is a worthwhile reminder that terrible things don't happen in the past, they happen in our lifetimes. Despite that, the people of this city are truely graceful and very friendly. I could have stayed here forever!

Favourite spots: |
Happy guesthouse no. 11 by the lake. It's basic rooms and it's not the cheapest place around but the bar has hammocks a plenty, free pool, dvd's and great staff who will be your guide and party with you til you drop.

What's really great: |
Happy herbs pizza restaurent. Ask for the pizza to be happy and you get an added ingrediant, be warned though.. you may think that it's had no effect but 2 hours later i could hardly stand! Not for the faint hearted! And it has fantastic pizza and great salads, without magic herbs too!
