Dracula is just part of the legend, Romania has many more things to show the visitant. Open your mind and let the Romanian spirit guide you along one of the countries who has kept best the traces of comunism.

What's really great: |
It was like Spain 30 years ago. I love that country, and you enjoy it even more with local guides. I rented an apartment by the Casa Pupurloi (Palatul Parlament) and i tried to be romanian.

Accommodations: |
The hotels in Romania are trying to get really fast the western standars, but it takes some time. So forget about those standars and try in Villa Helga, in Salcamilor street, great place for young people.

Restaurants: |
For backpacker nothing like Nicoresti, close to Villa Helga hostel. Romanian dishes with ridiculous prices!
