805 Restaurant |

This restaurant claims to be the best African restaurant in London. I would disagree. There are many better restaurants in the city offering food from the continent. The 805 has however very authentic feel. If you happen to come while Africans dine there, it will be so loud from people arguing and shouting that you will be able to hear your own thoughts. Anyway, they serve plantains and spicy goat soup (with the animal's stomach lining) which do taste very authentic and their flame grilled fish (it is massive) with the very spicy sauce (served on a side at request) is truly great. It is not cheap. The starters are about £6 and the main courses range c.£12. The service is polite and efficient. The decor... hmm... successfully styled for an African eatery. There is no parking, despite the restaurant's website claiming otherwise.
