Mamutik & Manukand Islands

information about malaysia  Kota Kinabalu - Malaysia, Sabah

An excellent days outing, is to take one of the many Boat trips to the islands.

We could choose more than One Island for the day.
It is here they ask you if you wish to hire snorkelling equipment, we hired one set, and shared between the two of us.

We decided to visit two, Mamutik and Manukan Islands.
The Boat dropped us off at Mamutik Island 1st, then at the allotted time, took us to Manukan [a much busier island]

Mamutik is the smallest island in the group, previously owned by one of Sabah’s richest families who built a house on the island.

YOU HAVE TO PAY A NATIONAL PARK FEE, (10RM) so bring some money, this is only paid once for all the islands.
There are lots of coloured fish here. If you snorkel, you get to see the Coral, if not, you still see all the coloured Fish as they come around you, especially if you have some Bread to feed them with.
Boats depart from Jessleton Wharf daily.
